2004 Amontillado Matured

When Deanston Distillery first opened in 1966, an old weaving shed was converted to a cooperage where casks were handmade and repaired. Overtime, this cooperage evolved into our much-loved Warehouse 4; a traditional dunnage maturation warehouse and the perfect home to a wide range of aging whiskeys dating back to the 1960s.

As part of the Warehouse 4 Collection, this 19 year old single malt celebrates the team at Deanston Distillery who hand selected each cask and hand filled each bottle.

Distilled on the 12th of February 2004 and fully matured in an Amontillado sherry cask, this limited-edition, single cask brings notes of ripe cherries, honeyed raisins and black forest cake with a walnut twist.

Hand filled at Deanston by Visitor Centre Coordinator, Ruth Buchanan, in October 2023 at a cask strength of 50.5% ABV. Cask Number 80.

Palate:

Honeyed sweet raisins, black forest cake with a walnut twist

Finish:

A balanced dram with a sweet yet dry finish of honeyed nuts and seasoned light spice
