TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Bold oak notes fade to reveal crisp and fresh green apples complimented by honey and apricots.

PALATE

Fresh and zesty lemon peel harmoniously blend with sweet notes of caramel and velvety vanilla ice cream.

There's finishing a whisky... and then there's giving it six full years in an Armagnac cask. This bold, fresh Highland dram picks up juicy orchard fruit, soft oak and a bright citrus lift, all wrapped around Deanston's signature waxiness. Hand-filled at cask strength, this release comes straight from Warehouse 4, with a French twist.

Distilled on the 24th of March 2006, an Armagnac cask was chosen as a finishing partner in 2019. Over its 6 year finish, that cask brought a lively mix of apple freshness, honeyed sweetness and zesty lemon brightness to the spirit. When the cask reached its stride, we tapped it for our Warehouse 4 Tastings and have now hand-filled bottles directly from the wood.
