TASTING NOTES

NOSE

An initial burst of bold toasted oak is compliment by freshly cut marmalade and zesty lemon peel.

This is Deanston in its most honest form: waxy, energetic and full of orchard fruit. Fully matured in a single Bourbon cask, it's a Warehouse 4 pick that captures the lively side of our spirit - fresh, citrusy, tropical and far more complex than its age might suggest.

Distilled in 2017, this spirit went straight into Bourbon Cask No. 5093, where it spent its entire life. Over the years, the cask layered on toasted oak, bright citrus and tropical notes without ever dulling Deanston's natural vibrancy. When the whisky hit the sweet spot, we opened the cask for our Warehouse 4 Tastings and hand-filled every bottle directly from cask, just as nature (and our whisky making team) intended.
