INGREDIENTS

  • 60ml Deanston Sherry Cask Finish
  • 5ml Cinnamon Syrup
  • 2 Dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
  • 1 Dash of Orange Bitters
  • Orange Peel

METHOD

  • STEP 1 Place a large ice cube or a few smaller ones in an old-fashioned tumbler.
  • STEP 2 Pour in the whisky into the glass.
  • STEP 3 Add Angostura bitters, orange bitters, and cinnamon syrup to the glass. The simple syrup is just enough to highlight the whisky's natural sweetness, but you can adjust it based on personal preference.
  • STEP 4 Stir gently for about 20-30 seconds to chill and dilute the drink slightly, allowing the flavours to meld together.
  • STEP 5 Express the orange peel over the drink to release its oils and drop it in for garnish.
