Bourbon and Cream Sherry

TASTING NOTES

Bread, berries, and nuts are arranged on a rustic wooden surface. Creamy cheese and yogurt are nearby, along with a jar of golden raisins, creating an inviting, rustic snack scene.

NOSE

A medley of ripe summer berries drenched in cream are woven into notes of freshly baked brioche, balanced by gentle notes of raisins and nuts.

PALATE

Bold, rich, sherry-influence notes of dried fruit and wood spice are balanced by velvety vanilla ice cream.

FINISH

An initial fresh wood spice lingers, slowly giving way to subtle notes of sweet cream.

After two decades in ex-Bourbon, this whisky met a first fill Cream Sherry cask. Hand-selected for our Warehouse 4 Tastings because of its rich berry sweetness, fresh brioche lift and silky vanilla depth, it's a full-bodied Deanston that isn't shy about showing off. These bottles were hand-fill at cask strength and are the last pour from Cask No. 33.

Distilled on the 31st of December 1995, this whisky spent its first 20 years mellowing in classic ex-Bourbon casks. In April 2016, it moved into one of the sweetest styles of sherry cask: a first fill Cream Sherry Cask Numbered 33. Here it picked up juicy berry character, brioche sweetness and that unmistakable sherry-driven richness. After years of patient finishing, we drew the whisky for our Warehouse 4 Tastings, hand-filling the last bottles directly from cask.

With no added colour, the liquid maintains its chestnut brown hue, showcasing the maturation process and the impact of the cask.

NON-CHILL FILTERED

We don’t mess with perfection — our whiskies are non-chill filtered, keeping all that waxy, full-bodied goodness intact. Why fix what isn’t broken?

TASTE

Rich, velvety and gloriously sherries, it's a tumble of berries, brioche and dried fruit wrapped in vanilla sweetness and a lingering, silky spice.
