As 2023 ends, it’s time to reflect upon the milestones, innovations, and cherished moments that have defined Deanston Distillery in the past twelve months.

From the unveiling of more uniquely waxy whiskies to welcoming visitors from around the globe, 2023 has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Our award-winning Deanston 18 Year Old emerged as your overall favourite for 2023, resonating with those who appreciate the depth, complexity, and maturity that only years of meticulous aging can impart.

Fully matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, this 18 Year Old’s rich palate layered with sweet and spicy citrus, gingerbread and Manuka honey achieved a gold award at the International Spirits Challenge 2023.

A hallmark of any distinguished distillery is its ability to innovate and surprise the palate. This year, Deanston proudly introduced nine new whiskies, each crafted with precision and passion.

Among these releases, the standout was undeniably the 15 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish. An experimental release that celebrates spirit with true highland character. Finished in hand-selected casks from the Jaliscan Highlands of Mexico, this expression has a unique flavour profile.

Characterised by caramelised agave, toasted almonds, baked apples with custard and warming spice, 15 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish cemented its place as a fan favourite and is a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of whisky craftsmanship.
